Winter Break
To all;
I hope you are all doing the assignment I gave you for break. Having a happy and safe break.... To the students... what we talked about before break will become a reality. We are going to take Technology to the next step in Education. I am learning how to intergrate all forms of technology into my classroom. We are shooting for next year where we will be paperless in the classroom. We are going to learn terms like Edmodo, Wiki, and Blogster. This will help you with all your classes. We are going to hit the ground running in 2012. I will see you all next year.

This week in GTT
Steven Jobs passed away this week. The man was a visionary. I highly recommend you read or view his commencement address to the graduates of Stanford University in 2006. Among the companies he founded are Apple Computer, Pixar Entertainment, and Next Computer. Not bad for a college drop out after only 6 months...... and a college drop in for the next 18 months.......

To all parents:
We are needing your help in January. Your 8th grade students may have already came to you about your household electric bill. They spent the week before break calculating their home electric consumption for the month. They are to check with the bill payer to see how close the estimate was to the actual consumption. We will close this unit with a discussion of how they can help conserve energy at home, and at school.
Our 7th grade students will be continuing their Auto C.A.D. design projects. We started with cubes and poles, and have moved up to a Judges Gavel, and now they are using what they learned to design their own furniture. I will be taking 5 student with me to a conference at Florissant Valley CC to display what they have learned, and to teach the regions Guidance Counselors about GTT.
Our 6th Grade Computer Technology Students have finished their PowerPoint Presentations about them. Mrs Fajatin and I have learned about everything from Lil Boosie being a common favorite celebrity, to Pizza and Wings being the overwhelming favorite Foods.
